Privacy Policy

Petsify is built around care, not surveillance. We collect the minimum we need to keep your pack in sync, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything at any time. This policy explains what we hold and why, in plain language.

1. Who we are

Petsify ("we", "us", "our") provides a mobile application for households and care groups to track pet care together. This policy applies to the Petsify iOS app and the getpetsify.com website. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

Account information

You can create an account in one of two ways:

Sign in with Apple. We receive an Apple identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email (or Apple's private relay email). We never receive your Apple password.
Email and password. We store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We can never see your actual password, and we recommend using a unique one.

You can change or delete your account details at any time from within the app.

Pet and activity data

This is the data you create: pet profiles (name, species, breed, weight, accent colour), and activity logs such as feeding, walks, medications, grooming, vet visits and weigh-ins. This data is the heart of the app and is yours.

Pack data

When you join or create a pack, members of that pack can see the pets and activity logs shared within it, along with who logged each activity.

Technical data

We collect basic diagnostic data (device type, app version, crash logs) to keep the app stable. We use privacy-respecting analytics and do not build advertising profiles.

3. How we use your information

To provide core features: logging, syncing and sharing pet care within your packs.
To generate breed-aware recommendations and care reminders.
To sync your data across your devices and your pack members.
To keep the app secure, stable and free of abuse.
To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your pet data for advertising.

4. How your data is shared

Your data is shared only with the pack members you invite. We use trusted infrastructure providers (for hosting, authentication and crash reporting) who process data on our behalf under strict agreements. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual pets, logs, or your entire account at any time from within the app. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We comply with the UK GDPR, EU GDPR and CCPA where applicable.

7. Children

Petsify is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. Families are welcome to log care for pets, but accounts are intended for adults.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and audited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
